With Christmas around the corner, you may be wondering what to fill your days with over the festive period. Spending time with your family and those closest to you is what the festive holidays are all about. So here are some of the best family events and festive days out across the UK that might be worth going to this Christmas 2019.
Winter Wonderland At Hyde Park
It?s one of the busier spots to go and enjoy some festive fun, but Winter Wonderland is back after Hyde Park became it?s home over ten years ago. What started off as a small market has quickly escalated into a full-blown, Disney-esque, winter festival. There are plenty of attractions to get stuck into, including a trip to the ice-rink or soaring 70 meters above the park in the giant wheel. Did you know that it?s the tallest transportable wheel in the world? Winter Wonderland is free to enter, but you?ll soon be spending your cash with all attractions having fees to get in or use. The event is until the 5th of January 2020, so you have plenty of time to go.
The Frankfurt Christmas Market In Birmingham
The Frankfurt Christmas Market started back in 2001 but taken over most of Birmingham?s city centre for the past several years. The market closes just before Christmas, so this is a day out that?s worth planning before Christmas Eve. The markets have something for everyone, whether that?s mum and dad wanting a mulled wine or two, or the little ones wanting a go on the Ferris wheel. There?s a variety of stalls selling handmade goods from candles to scarves, wooden decorations to your Christmas tree baubles. With over eight stalls, the market has grown considerably, so make sure to be wary when going during the evening or on weekends.
Ice Village In Manchester
If you?re not fussed about being a little cold, then the Ice Village in Manchester is the place to be. Taking a trip to the Ice Cavern will be something that is a spectacle for all the family to enjoy. You can expect the cavern to be inhabited by many icy beasts that include a unicorn and a huge red dragon. You?re able to get up close and personal with this interactive experience. Touching the statues are allowed, and selfies are very much? appreciated whilst visiting.
Coca Cola Truck Tour 2019
And finally, if you fancy something a little less adventurous but still just as magical, you can always check the touring dates of the Coca Cola Truck Tour for 2019. The Coca Cola Truck Tour is in its ninth year and spread Christmas cheer in a location that might be near you. Head along to a festive wonderland at wherever the truck stops and here you?ll be handed a complimentary Coca Cola Zero Sugar to enjoy.
Christmas is all about spending quality time with the family, so whether you head on over to a Christmas market or spend the day in a winter wonderland, enjoy every moment!
