Another popular attraction in Edinburgh is the Royal Mile, a one-mile stretch of road which connects Edinburgh Castle with the Palace of Holyroodhouse(click for tickets), the official residence of the monarch in Scotland. The Royal Mile is lined with historic buildings, shops, restaurants, and pubs, and is a great place to experience Edinburgh’s culture, atmosphere, architecture and some good old people-watching!
Whisky lovers can’t visit Edinburgh without visiting one of its famous distilleries to take a behind the scenes look on how the wonderful stuff is created. We offer a couple of different whisky tours to choose from! The Scotch Whisky Experience (click for tickets) or Holyrood Distillery (click for tickets).
Edinburgh also offers some interesting insights into its history with some fun (and scary) tours! These include The Real Mary King’s Close tour (click for tickets), which shows you the history of the Mary King from the 1600’s with a tour of some of the underground alleyways with a guide in full character!
There’s also the classic Edinburgh Dungeon (click for tickets) experience which shares some of the darker history of Scottish history with a fun twist, of course!
