One of the city’s most famous landmarks is the Liver Building, an art deco style building that dominates the city’s waterfront and a very popular tourist attraction. The building is home to the Liver Birds, two mythical creatures that have become synonymous with the city and are said to protect the people of Liverpool. Sitting just up the road from the Liver Building is the Albert Dock, which is definitely worth a visit. A UNESCO World Heritage site that’s home to a range of museums, art galleries, and restaurants. The dock was once a bustling hub of activity for ships from all over the world. Today it provides a glimpse into Liverpool’s fascinating maritime past. Some of the most popular attractions at the Albert Dock include the Beatles Story, the Merseyside Maritime Museum, and the Tate Liverpool. Albert Dock is a lovely place to have a slow walk, especially on a summer day.
