Tickets for ZSL Whipsnade Zoo.
Along with ZSL London Zoo, ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is owned by the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), which is a charity devoted to the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats.
Whipsnade Zoo is set in 600 acres. It quite unique as it can be easily found when travelling over it because of the Whipsnade White Lion, a large hill figure carved into the side of the Dunstable Downs (part of the Chiltern Hills) below the white rhino enclosure!
ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is home to around 3,626 animals, many of which are endangered. One of the things that we love about ZSL Whipsnade is that some of the animals roam freely around the park, such as the Peafowl, Patagonian Maras, and Red-necked Wallabies, so don’t be alarmed if they wander past you, it’s all part of the experience!
The zoo is set out into various areas which includes Cheetah Rock, Passage Through Asia, Giraffe Heights and the Lions of the Serengeti. You can also enjoy a ride on a steam train around the park or enjoy it on foot! Don’t forget to visit the Lemur exhibit and also the aquarium!
