The architect, Le Corbusier (Charles-Edouard Jeanneret) that designed it was even still alive when the property was given the status of an official historic monument, an incredible feat. Le Corbusier had a five point guide to his properties and this was pilotis, a roof garden, an open-plan display, horizontal windows and a free facade.
