Deb and Fran welcome you to the newly refurbished Red Lion. ?The Lion? is a traditional, family friendly pub situated in the village of Powick, Worcestershire.
The building is steeped in history, and during the English Civil War, the pub and adjoining cottages were used as Oliver Cromwell?s field hospital during the ?Battle of Powick? in 1651. Charles II?s army of 16,000 were defeated by Cromwell?s 30,000 men, and after the battle Charles evaded capture for 45 days in and around Worcestershire, before going into exile.
These days, you will find a pub oozing charm and character. A traditional bar complete with log burner for the cold winter nights.
We offer a range of cask ales and a selection of wines, soft drinks and hot drinks, as well as cider and lager on tap.
