Get yourself off to Uke School with cabaret star, Tricity Vogue
WHAT’S THIS ALL ABOUT?
If you like a Ukulele lady? then you will love Tricity Vogue. Tricity set up the Ukulele Cabaret?which regularly sells out at the Edinburgh Fringe. Think Peggy Lee after one too many cocktails. Tricity is an inspiring teacher with an eclectic song repertoire. You can learn to play a simple tune on the ukulele in half an hour, and it can be developed over a lifetime. If you have always longed to play a musical instrument but didn?t know where to start, now?s the moment.
WHAT WILL I BE LEARNING?
You will start to learn the basics of playing the ukulele. Simple chords and strums. Music scores will be provided, and you can take these home for practice later. You will sing with the group?and even work out a harmony or two. Songs will be familiar, so you can concentrate on holding and playing the ukulele. This is a beginner?s lesson, so if you are musically clueless or just new to the uke, this is the class for you.
THE ALL IMPORTANT DETAILS
Please feel free to bring your own Ukulele if you have one. There will be spare ones to borrow, but for further practise it is nice to own your own. Our uke workshops happen once every 2 months. The class is 1.5 hours long and happen in Central London or Shoreditch.?You can strum solo or bring a friend.?
