- Its one of the largest church’s in the world!
- The Basilica is actually built on top of Peter’s Tomb!
- The current Basilica was started in 1506 and wasn’t the first in its place, that was built by Emperor Constantine as early as AD 300, but was replaced with the current one in 1506.
- Michelangelo was consulted when the current Basilica was being built, along with many other famous names of the day.
