Southbank Skate Space

Southbank Skate Space, in the Undercroft beneath Queen Elizabeth Hall, is a world-famous skateboarding spot and free creative space, accessible 24 hours a day.

Covered in colourful graffiti, the charismatic space is used by skateboarders, BMXers, street artists, photographers and many, many more from the local and surrounding area, all across the UK and from all around the globe.

Opened in 1967 and first used by skateboarders back in 1973, the Southbank undercroft is the world?s longest continually used skate spot.

It is now being restored through a fundraising campaign jointly launched by Southbank Centre and Long Live Southbank, which will open up further sections of the Undercroft, untouched since 2004, and create a new learning and education space for children and young people.
