South Shields Sailing Club is a friendly, family club for dinghy, catamaran, and windsurfers, situated at the mouth of the river Tyne. The club is run wholly by friendly volunteers of all ages, and backgrounds.
The majority of our sailing takes place in the mouth of the Tyne river between the north and south piers, however we do venture out onto the open seas at various times throughout the year.
Why not come along to the club and see for yourself what it is all about?
During the year we offer ?Open Days? to allow potential members the opportunity to have a go. Look out for these on our website (Events), or come down to the club when people are around, 10:00am, 1:00pm on Sundays or 6:00pm on Wednesdays are when there are most people around (just before everyone goes sailing).
