South Coast Karting opened on April 1st 2017. After a relocation and re-brand from their old circuit.
A family business run and managed by father Ray and two sons George & Jim Lovell.
?South Coast Karting really is run by racers for racers. With a huge history in motorsport behind the Lovell Family.
Ray, started racing in short circuit Mini Stocks championship in the mid 90’s, followed by a short spell in the post historic saloon car championship in his self prepared Dolomite Sprint. Ray is now busy preparing an MGB GT and is looking forward to getting back out on track soon.
?Eldest son George, followed in dads footsteps and started racing from the age of just 8 years old, claiming multiple championships throughout the years, narrowly missing out on the British Championship in 1999. George’s Karting career was followed by some time in Formula Ford where another Championship was won in the winter of 2001. George now races in add hock formula 100 pre 1999 races and has recently won the British Open Championship. George’s two sons Max & Louie have also got the racing bug and have been testing in their Bamnino Karts and are set to continue the Lovell racing tradition.
?Jim, started out in Karts at 8 years old, and like his brother it wasn’t long until he was winning. Jim won his first Karting Championship at 13 years old before making a switch to racing on two wheels. Jim has won the British pit bikes championship on multiple occasions and has also raced with success in the Honda CBR cup, the triumph triple challenge and 600 super sport in the British Super Bike Championship.
?Together Ray & George opened their 1st circuit back in 2004, have hosted 1000’s of Corporate races, stag and hen do’s, birthdays and arrive and drive sessions. This vast experience coupled with a whole life’s involvement in motor racing makes for a winning combination for an unforgettable Karting experience with South Coast Karting
?In 2017 the dream was realised when the doors were opened at South Coast Karting. A brand new corporate Karting facility for everyone to enjoy, just a 5 mile journey from Bournemouth’s town centre.
