There has been a clay ground at this site since 1975, from the early days of the oil industry in Aberdeen. Originally called ?The Golden Rock? gun club, with two hand operated traps and an offshore supplied steel container for a clubhouse, Seal’s Cove Shooting Ground has grown into a fully automated fifty-trap layout; the log clubhouse was brought from Norway in 1986 and over the years the ground has grown in size; geographically the site being on top of a cliff could have four seasons in one day.
