The Inner Clyde Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) principally encompasses the intertidal zone of the Clyde estuary. This quiet reserve is open to the public and has a spectacular quantity of wildfowl and waders in the winter months, which provide a wonderful wildlife experience.
The Inner Clyde has?no visitor facilities provided by RSPB, and this site is?not capable of accommodating large numbers of visitors. The area is an important wintering area for birds, with some impressive spectacles.?The exposed flats at low tide provide a considerable feeding area for waders and large numbers of species like redshank, cew and oystercatchers can be seen.
