then you simply ?RockUp? and the adventure begins.RockUp-Climbing is run by Sophie and Brett, both have a life long passion for the outdoors. Brett and Sophie both hold the “Climbing and Mountaineer(MIA), the highest qualification for climbing and mountaineering in summer conditions in the UK.
Brett started his climbing career at the tender age of 6 and hasn?t stopped since! He has been guiding, instructing and coaching for over 20 years, and has a wealth of experience behind him. Equally at home teetering up a sea cliff as he is with a map and compass in hand navigating across the wild hills and mountains, Brett has led a life fully immersed in the outdoor industry.
With a degree in Outdoor Education, and having worked for a multitude of Outdoor Centres, Brett founded Rock-Up Climbing so he could really tailor his coaching to meet the individual needs of his clients.A climber from the age of 13, Sophie has been instructing, coaching and guiding for nearly 20 years at the rock face and in the mountains. Also a qualified teacher (of chemistry!) and former Director of Outdoor Education, Sophie enjoys helping people progress and develop their skills.
Sophie brings a wide range of personal experience to Rock-Up Climbing from scrambling across the rocky ridges of the Cuillin peaks, cranking hard on boulder problems, swinging ice axes up frozen waterfalls, and leading mountaineering.
