RHS Garden Wisley is one of the world’s most beautiful gardens which is owned and cultivated by the Royal Horticultural Society.
With 240-acres, the garden has over 30 different areas to explore and is known for its beautiful floral displays with over 60,000 plants on show. The Jellicoe Canal is home to the country’s second largest collection of water lilies. The Glasshouse is home to an amazing collection of plants from across the world. You should also find the Mixed Borders area which is home to a 128-metre path with an amazing selection of stunning colourful plants and flowers growing on both sides.
The site was originally purchased by the RHS in 1903 and has been slowly developed into what it is today over that time, having been designed at the time by Gertrude Jekyll, a very famous garden designer from the 20th century.
RHS Garden Wisley hosts multiple events throughout the year including guided tours, workshops and various demonstrations such as flower arranging. They also host annual flower shows including Wisley Flower Show and Christmas Glow.
