Learn to create?beautiful Paper?& Wood?birds in this half-day?creative course.
WHAT’S THIS ALL ABOUT?
One of our favourite workshops is run by Zack Mclaughlin. In fact you can always spot an Indytute hot-desk by looking out for small wire birds that perch jauntily by the laptops. It is our equivalent of a pot plant. So we are very excited to announce the new half-day paper and wood bird?course where you will make a Barn Owl or Hummingbird.
TELL ME MORE
In this class Zack will be teaching the many techniques you need to work with the paper, (such as how to style lifelike feathers) before ultimately making a paper and wood bird of your own. On arrival you will receive a bird ?starter? kit – choose either a hummingbird or a mini barn owl. All tools will be provided. Zack will start the day with a tour of his workshop, showing what he is currently working on, and his process, from the study of birds through to the detailed drawings before he creates the final sculptures.
This really is a class from the master. His birds flit through houses across the world, so if you want insight into the world of paper sculpture, this is a?stellar workshop, and of course, you have a bird on a wire to remind you of a very unusual and creative day.
