Palais des Papes
The rather large (largest Gothic palace in the world to be precise!) Palais de Papes which was home to 9 Popes and gives an insight into how life was. The grandeur of the palace is just breathtaking, filled with priceless pieces of art telling stories of history. See the Popes personal quarters and just how they used to live. The palace was built in the 13th century and given that was the era of castles and palaces and this is the largest of its style, that gives you an idea of just how big this place actually is.
Pont d’Avignon
The second part of the ticket is the Pont d’Avignon and one of the most famous river crossings in the world. You will also learn about how the two are intertwined with each other and their deep connection to the Catholic Church and the French Government. This is a very popular attraction and ticket.
