The Palace of the Popes. The biggest Gothic palace in the world. Having been home to 9 popes, and with their intimate personal quarters on show, means you can see just how they lived.
With priceless murals and frescoes telling stories of history hanging from the walls. The palace was built by Pope John XXII in 1316. Referring to it being the largest in the world, when you think about the fact it was constructed during the era of palaces and castles, and this is the biggest one, that means this place is VERY big! With 25 rooms open to the public, you will be amazed by this palace.
