The Orpheus Caving Club was established in 1949 to promote the scientific study and exploration of caves within the Peak District and in other areas of the UK and abroad. It is one of the longest established Derbyshire Caving Clubs with a rich history of caving activities to its credit. The Club membership is predominantly drawn from the Derbyshire and Leicestershire area with some members from other parts of the UK. New members are always welcome.
