This is one of the largest and most amazing private art collections in the whole world. German-Hungarian industrialist Baron Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemisza de Kaszon (try saying that after a glass of sangria – in fact try saying it before!), the collection owner, decided to make art his hobby!
This is a very popular attraction. The collection includes big names from the art-world including Durer, Raphael, Titian, Rubens, Rembrandt, Caravaggio, Manet, Renoir, Cezanne, Van Gogh, Kadinsky, Picasso, amongst others and covering periods medieval, Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Expressionism all the way to modern Pop Art. It really is an incredible collection covering so many periods.
