Lady?s Wood Shooting School was established in 1981 by Michael Pinker. The business was taken over in 2013 by Ernie Hemmings. You will find Lady?s Wood amidst the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside with easy access from both the M4 and M5, not far from Bristol and Bath. The grounds are set in 55 acres of natural woodland with a very impressive welcoming Cotswold stone lodge.
The Lodge is also home to Sportarm at Lady’s Wood where we stock a wide range of guns, clothing and shooting accessories.
The immaculately well-kept grounds with its large variety of sporting traps can simulate anything from a bolting rabbit to a long distance pheasant thrown from the 120 ft High Tower, a special feature of the School. On the short walk from one stand to another with your instructor, you are quite likely to bump into one of our resident peacocks roaming contentedly along the gravel path with you!
Lady?s Wood welcomes all, the young entry whose parents wish him or her to be taught to become a safe, competent and well-mannered shot, adults seeking some advice for improving their shooting and the older sports person who discovers that a few sessions at a School can help them ?hold their own? when game shooting. A family gathering is a regular sight at Lady?s Wood.
