Kielder Water Bird Of Prey Centre

The Birds Of Prey Centre is located within the magnificent lakeside surroundings of Kielder Water at Leaplish Waterside Park, Northumberland. The Centre contains one of the largest & most fascinating collections of Birds Of Prey in the North of England. At the Birds of Prey Centre you will discover a vast variety of species & find out about their essential role within the ecology of the natural world. Learn about the valuable work of the Kielder Water Birds Of Prey Centre?s captive breeding programme, which has been established to further the awareness of conservation, propagation & rehabilitation of the Birds of Prey. This is a fantastic opportunity to see Birds of Prey in action. Watch a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph, see the grace and speed of Eagles, Hawks & Kites. Experience the thrill & excitement of handling some of these beautiful and extraordinary birds.

At Kielder Water Birds of Prey Centre I do not believe in exploiting my birds and totally disagree with various so called falconry display teams and falconers charging people to have their photographs taken holding birds of prey.? This practise achieves nothing in the interests of education or conservation, most of these despicable people do not have an animal performers licence and I know for a fact in the North East of England they do not hold a zoo licence. So remember do not give these people your hard earned money.
