The state of the art facility is the only permanent venue constructed for the European Championships in Glasgow and is Scotland?s only World and Olympic standard BMX track and the second in Britain.
The building work started in September 2017 and was finished in May 2018, costing around ?3.7 million. The main track, which will be used in competition, is 400 meters long and 5 meters wide. There is also a smaller pump track which is suitable for beginners of?the sport.
Now home to the Western Titans BMX club, and used by other local clubs, schools and community groups, the facility will provide a lasting legacy for BMX in Scotland. The facility will develop riders to medal level and introduce both children and adults to the sport.
