Tickets for Federico Garcia Lorca: Guided Tour in Granada. The history of Granada’s executed and censored poet. The tour lasts 2 hours and includes entrance to Centro Federico Garcia Lorca. It stops at several places including University of Granada Botanical Garden, House of the Rosales Family, Granada’s Arts and Literature Center, Castillejos Square, Acera del Darro, and Mariana Pineda Square, so you squeeze an awful lot in this ticket. His former home was the location of his arrest. His story is fascinating. Lorca, who was murdered in August of 1936 and just a day after his brother-in-law (who was the new mayor of Granada) had also been murdered by right-wing military authorities. Lorca was a gay socialist at the time of a far-right traditionalism. His remains were never found. His work was then all but made to disappear during Franco’s dictatorship.
