Tickets for Falaise Memorial Museum – Civilians at War. Put yourself in the shoes of a Norman during the hellish bombings of WWII and get a sense of the terror that they poor locals suffered and live with for months. They have created a reconstruction of a Norman village after it had been hit by the bombs dropped by Allied and German forces. Sadly, 20,000 civilians died during the invasion and the battle of Normandy and you can learn their story. There is also an exhibition on site called Civilians and Liberation and shows how the chaos of war is never as clean-cut as good versus evil in practice.
