Dee Sailing Club

The Dee Sailing Club was formed in 1909 and has come a long way since the early days of sailing in Heswall.? The clubhouse is now located on a picturesque site in Thurstaston which boasts one of the most enviable views on the Wirral peninsular.

Whilst DSC is well known as a top catamaran racing club, we do have all sorts of boats that sail here ranging from large yachts down to optimists and any boat is always welcome with us.? More information on the types of boats that sail at DSC is available from our fleets page.

Sailing at DSC takes many forms, all the way from a nice gentle Saturday afternoon sail through to competitive racing on a Sunday.? Our activities are not limited just to the area surrounding the clubhouse, with Monday night sailing taking part of the West Kirby Marine Lake and a very active set of members who campaign throughout the UK and beyond.? The club can actually boast world and national champions as its past and present members, and even an Olympic hopeful.

If competitive racing holds no interest to you, there are many members just like you who do not feel the need to raise their blood pressure and shout 101 different rules to other crafts on the water, and much prefer going to leisurely sails.? Please visit the cruising events section to find out more information.
