We are based in Oxfordshire in the UK. We meet regularly throughout the year. Our members have a wide range of interests and experience in many aspects of model engineering. A major activity is operating the Cutteslowe Park Miniature Railway (CPMR) within a public park in the City of Oxford. This railway has been built and developed by the voluntary efforts of members of COSME.
The Cutteslowe Park Miniature Railway is situated in the public Cutteslowe Park in the north of the City of Oxford just off the A40 Ring Road. Information on our location can be found here.
There are two tracks on our railway on which we run passenger carrying trains pulled by steam or diesel locomotives. The elevated track is built to cater for 3?” and 5″ gauges and the ground level track is for 5″ and 7? gauges.
We welcome those with interests in any form of Model Engineering. As well as building and operating the CPMR, members of COSME have a wide variety of interests including traction and stationary engines, rolling stock and steam powered boats. If you are interested in joining, please speak to any member at the track or use our enquiry form
