Craigtoun Country Park is a country park located approximately 4 miles to the south-west of St Andrews in the county of Fife, Scotland. The site is currently owned by Fife Council, with park amenities being operated as of 2012 by the charitable organisation Friends of Craigtoun Park.?The Friends of Craigtoun Country Park were formed in 2012 with the aim of securing the future of the park as an amenity for the people of St Andrews, Fife and visitors to the area.
The Friends of Craigtoun Country Park committee aim:
To encourage local people and users of Craigtoun Country Park to become Friends;
To coordinate the Friends’ activities;
To publicise events and facilities at the park with the aim of increasing visitor numbers;
To keep the wider community informed of progress and options under consideration;
To fully investigate whether the park can be taken over with the long term aim of maintaining and improving the existing facilities and restoring Craigtoun Country Park to the Jewel in the Crown of Fife’s visitor attractions!
