WHAT’S THIS ALL ABOUT?
Roll up ! Roll up ! The big top has come to Shoreditch. Circus acts have come a long way since Philip Astley a trick cyclist and theatrical manager created the first amphitheatre by Westminster Bridge in 1768. Todays acrobats and aerialists?have never been better and have taken their skills and creativity to new levels, from the sell-out shows of Cirque du Soleil to the talented troupes at Edinburgh Festival.
WHAT WILL I BE LEARNING?
You’ll be trained at the National Centre for Circus Arts is the venue, the training ground of professional circus artists and home to the circus stars of the future. Try your hand at:
Flying Trapeze
Silks
Rope
Tightwire
Acrobatics
Juggling?..feeling?worn out yet?
This is a workshop for beginners, so don?t feel intimidated just go and enjoy an afternoon of circus. The teachers are highly experienced circus professionals? who have taught all ages from children to adults in their sixties. They will take into account your fitness level, and won?t expect you to do stuff beyond it. This is a day of fun, and brings a whole new meaning to the phrase? I could do that standing on my head?…..

Workshops take place?on selected Saturdays at 2.30-5.30pm
There are a couple of rules. Pregnant people, unfortunately, cannot take part for safety reasons, no alcohol is permitted before or during,?and this experience isn?t open for those under 17. Otherwise, you are good to go.?Tracksuit bottoms/t-shirts/leggings and indoor trainers are the order of the day, and jewellery will need to be removed before you start to ?fly through the air with the greatest of ease?.?
HOW DOES IT WORK?
All you have to do is pay for the gift experience you wish to purchase. We?ll send a voucher including booking information to you or directly to the recipient. You or your recipient needs to check the information on the voucher and book your experience date.?We ask that the voucher is registered in?6 months and booked on a date within 12 months of purchase.
