Children and young people can enjoy the freedom to play, making choices and maybe even take a risk or two in the safety of the playground.
We have qualified play staff on site who encourage children to get the best out of their visit. Children come from different backgrounds and have a range of abilities, needs and ages. They tell us a lot about what is going on, who is around, what they are doing, and also who is not having a good time. We plan our work around our observations and feedback from children and young people.
The playgrounds are supported by local people and others. People volunteer in many ways, from donations of paint, wood and old shop fittings to helping with the tuck shop, activities, events and even washing up! We always need: pens, paper, big cardboard boxes, dressing up clothes, old blankets and duvet covers.
