Formed in March 2010, Chelsea Kayak Club is a friendly London club which has been set up to specifically focus on sea kayaking and touring. See About the Club for more background on the Club and how and why it came about.
Membership is open to anyone over the age of 18 who is able to swim 50m in light clothing ? please also refer to the FAQs webpage for information on how to get started if you have no or limited paddling experience or to answer any other questions you may have.
The Club is governed by a Constitution to ensure fair practice and treatment for all members and is affiliated to British Canoeing.
The Club meets regularly Thursdays evenings and occasionally Tuesdays, weekday paddles, weekends for paddling on the Thames from Brentford Boating Arch at Kew Bridge.
The Club also organises a programme of events locally and overseas throughout the year, including socials and training opportunities ? see the Events Calendar for details of upcoming events and activities.
Thanks to grants from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Sport England the Club now has a number of sea kayaks and other equipment available for Club members to use.
Club members are also encouraged to write blogs on topics relating to the Club (e.g. trip summaries) or sea kayaking and touring in general.
The Resources section of the website provides links to further information and resources of relevance to the Club and its activities.
