An amazing scenic castle defined by the skills of a succession of women. Built on the Cher, where the waters reflect the Chateau’s unique Renaissance architecture. Home to a huge collection of art and furniture with paintings by Rubens, Primaticcio, Tintoretto, Correggio, Van Loo, Murillo, Clouet and others. Walk around the glorious gardens and take it all in. Its owners over the centuries has almost been a constant succession of women, which in it’s self is incredible. The only remains of the original Castle is a rather spooky dungeon (of all the things!) Are you brave enough to take a peek!
