Borlum is an historic farm dating back to the 14th century with its service to Urquhart Castle, providing castle residents and retainers with necessary sustaining provisions!? Today sheep and horses are seen grazing the fields around the castle. The MacDonald-Haig family have farmed at Borlum since 1956, when it was purchased from the Seafield estate. Over the ensuing years, with a second and third generation at the helm, we have converted cottages for holiday accomodation and? expanded our campsite with new facilities. Despite the recent closure of our Riding Centre we are also expanding our Livery business.
Let us offer you a unique opportunity to savour the beauty of our Highland countryside, to welcome you to our warm and comfortable self catering cottages with panoramic views of loch and glen. To stay on our spacious and well appointed camp site just a 10-15 minute walk from Loch ness shore.? We offer top quality livery services and grazing for your horse/pony. Indoor school. 2 outdoor arenas and our riding country is second to none!? Why not take advantage of all we offer and bring your own horse on holiday too….
