Battlefield Falconry Centre is a new and exciting family run business that offers a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy. It is located at the Battlefield 1403 farm shop site at Battlefield in Shrewsbury and is owned by Mark Southall who is a fully experienced falconer.
There are over 30 different birds of prey to see including some wonderful species of owls, falcons and hawks. Recently a Steppe Eagle and a Great Grey Owl have been added which are fabulous to see. All of the birds are provided with the highest accommodation and they are cared for in a beautiful environment with spectacular surroundings. The centre is continuing to develop to enhance the collection of birds on display and there are plans to make it the number one attraction in Shropshire for a falconry centre of this kind.
Battlefield Falconry Centre offers a range of activities with the number one being Hawks on Walks where a customer participates by walking through woodland on the Albrighton Estate at Battlefield accompanied with a falconer and a Harris Hawk which flies to the glove throughout the walk. It?s a wonderful experience and to date we have completed over 2000 walks ? it?s such an exciting experience most people are wowed by it!
