With 43 kings, 32 queens and 10 servants to the monarch and Marie Antoinette all buried here and being their final resting place, you could say you are amongst good company. The church was actually the first Gothic Cathedral and has stunning architecture. It became a Cathedral in 1966 and was actually built on top of the grave of Saint-Denis, a Bishop of Paris that died in 250AD. There are over 70 status on the property along with monumental tombs all from the Renaissance period. This is a must visit for history fans and we don’t think you will be disappointed.
