To start the day off you are going to visit an incredible place called Akumal Monkey Sanctuary where you will interact with the resident animals that include spider monkeys, capuchins, lemurs, tamarins and squirrel monkeys. The animals are living at the sanctuary because they’ve lost their homes due to various reasons including pollution and deforestation, so the good people at the sanctuary now look after them. The sanctuary looks after over 50 species of animals and during your visit, you can learn about how they help protect and how they try and help stop similar animals loosing their homes to same circumstances. The Akumal Monkey Sanctuary does absolutely amazing work. Once you’ve finished meeting the animals at the sanctuary, the second part of the ticket starts – the ATV part! Your off-road ATV adventure will take you to the Rio Sagrado cenote where you get to go for a refreshing swim and cool down! A great day to be had on this one!
