Create your own everyday, beautiful objects and start your clay revolution with SkandiHus, a?12 Week Pottery Course in London.
WHAT’S THIS ALL ABOUT?
Danish design. Say no more. The words are synonymous with natural materials and simple shapes, crafted into everyday objects that are not only beautiful to look at, but also functional.?Stine Dulong is a ceramicist, who throws and hand builds her pieces. She calls it her ?clay revolution? – using one ball of mud at a time.
MEET YOUR?POTTER
Cooks love Stine. Her plates are a stylists dream and feature in every cookbook from Ottolenghi to Nigella and Jamie. Stine has also made the tableware for Tom Kerridge and the Sake bottles for Nobu. So they?ll be no plate throwing in those kitchens.?
Start your own revolution, and learn from Stine’s SkandiHus in a twelve-week course. Aimed at all levels whether you are a beginner or just want to hone your existing skills.
THE ALL IMPORTANT DETAILS
SkandiHus provide all materials throughout the course. Use buff stoneware clay, and have access to a full range of tools, slips, moulds, and use the SkandiHus glazes, which are mixed in-house and used by Stine for her own work. This?course takes place in the evenings 7-9.30pm or Thursday or Saturday mornings 10-12.30pm and covers a whole range of basic techniques from throwing on the wheel, to surface decoration.
