The Fenn Bell Inn is thought to have been named after one of several bells erected on nearby marshes. In poor weather, these would ring to enable travellers to find a safe way across without getting stuck in the mud.
Today?s visitors can enjoy a selection of real ales along with a traditional menu of home made dishes and Sunday roasts all made with fresh ingredients.
Outside is where the Fenn Bell becomes one of Britain’s most unusual pubs. Not only are we the first pub in the country to be granted a full zoo licence which is home to over a hundred rescued animals -?including lemurs and monkeys – but we also? run a safari truck daily for?kids young and old to ride and enjoy.
