Headley Down Nature Reserve Trust was formed in 2016 by a small group of Headley Down Residents.? The reserve is situated adjacent to the Heatherlands Estate playing fields and backs onto the Land of Nod.? It is about 2 1/2 acres of council land that had been abandoned to invasive undergrowth and flytippers.? The Trust have leased the land and are seeking to transform this former landfill site into a haven for native wild flora and fauna for everyone to access and enjoy.
Work has already started with pathways, hedging and clearings and at the end of ?Wildflower Way? there is a bench for you to relax and enjoy the view.
This website is being created in order to engage, inform, promote and document the transformation.
Through these pages we seek to stimulate interest, pique your curiosity, generate discussion and ideas and invite you to visit the reserve and join us on our journey!
