Based in the heart of Norfolk, on the outskirts of Swaffham, Anglia Karting Centre has two outdoor race tracks which can be combined to make a 1030 meter, adrenaline fuelled, day of exciting racing. We can cater for adults and junior racers aged 8 and above (minimum height of 4ft 4?). And if the day isn?t long enough we can always switch on the floodlights so the fun doesn?t need to end when the sun goes down.
Long before go-karts, our site was originally part of the RAF North Pickenham Station which was constructed for the United States Army Air Force in 1943.
The site opened in 1944 and the 18th April that year saw the Eighth Force 492d Bombardment Section (Heavy) take up station to run bombing campaigns as part of the Second World War.
The RAF closed and sold the site in 1965.
Since then it has been an activity camp for the scouts before being developed into a karting track. Originally designed as a figure of eight, subsequent investment in a second, more complex track allows us to offer a variety of layouts right up to the full 1030 meter track.
