The Avon Valley Fairy Trail has been put together so people can explore a hidden gem of our marvellous city in addition to Stonehenge and the Cathedral. The Avon Valley Nature Reserve is a vast area that is inhabited by over 70 species of?different plants and animals. The scenery and the walk available here is breathtaking yet relaxing, it really does make you feel like you have been transported into the depths of the countryside, sometimes offering glimpses of the Cathedral Spire, a reminder of where you are.
The Fairy Trail not only allows you to see all of this, it allows you to really get amongst it by looking for all our hand painted fairy doors and fairies. All you have to do is use the map to take the right pathway and when you locate the door and its owning fairy, write down what colour the door was next to its corresponding number. Once you have found all 30, just return your list to us with your email address and we will send you a special certificate.
This has been put together by Salisbury City Councils Communities Team, with the help of the ?Friends of the Avon Valley Project? and other community groups.
