The Loch Garten Osprey Centre is owned and run by the RSPB – Europe’s largest nature conservation charity.
It has live viewing (through provided binoculars, telescopes and CCTV) of our resident breeding ospreys in the heart of the RSPB’s Abernethy National Nature Reserve, which at 53 square miles contains the largest remnant of ancient Caledonian pineforest.
Visitors can also see close up views of red squirrels coming to feeders, as well as many small birds, including great spotted woodpeckers, siskins and even crested tits.
There are a variety of fun nature activities for families to do together and a programme of events throughout the season.
We also have a shop, selling bird food, gifts, snacks, hot drinks and sandwiches with an outdoors picnic area.
