The A1 Shooting Ground is set on 40 acres within the M25, just north of London. The site was initially owned by globally recognised gunmakers Boss & Co. The land was used to test its guns to make sure they were of the highest quality.
In 1994, Claudio and Teresa Capaldo, took over the land and made it into what it is today. A new clubhouse was built, the English Sporting was expanded, Olympic Trap became available to shoot and more recently a Helice layout was put in place. Now the A1 Shooting Ground can boast in having the only automatic Helice layout in the country.
The business continues to grow and strive to offer improved facilities for its customers. Plans are now in place to build a bigger and better clubhouse and position the club in becoming one of the greatest clay target shooting centres in England.
Claudio Capaldo?s passion for coaching and excellence led him to participate in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens as a national team coach.
He continues to provide guidance & coaching to many International Shooters from all over the World.
