The club was formed from the Warwickshire Home Guard Battalion Old Comrades Association in 1945. It changed names to the 49th R&PC and converted the current range and clubroom facilities in 1983.
It is a club run by elected members to provide training and facilities for people wanting to be part of the club and take part in the sport of target shooting as defined by the Home Office and NRA UK.
The club is open to applications from people who can demonstrate they are responsible, no potential danger to the public, or potential criminals from all irrespective of ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion or beliefs, sex or disability who want to take part in the sport of target shooting.
