A vast art museum offering something for all to enjoy including a wonderful collection of works by the German Romantics as well as the Nazarenes.
The collection is in chronological order and starting in the 14th century all the way through to modern day pieces.
The contemporary wing includes a Kunst der Gegenwart collection. You can sit down on the furniture provided and just relax and enjoy the works.
They’ve got a dedicated room for Casper David Friedrich where you can take a walk through 16th century German life shown in the paintings, as well as other artists on display in the area.
There’s also the Cafe Liebermann where you can stop for a coffee or The Cube for a bite to eat, offering wonderful views of the lake.
