Tickets for Fort Saint-Andre. A wonderful and gigantic castle from medieval times with amazing views of Avignon and Provence. Listed as a historic monument in 1903, the fort looms sits on Mount Andaon and was commissioned by the French King Philippe le Bel as he wanted to show off his power. Imagine trying to do that today! It was also home to a prison at the time and you can still, incredibly, see the grafiti that was left by the prisoners that were locked up there between the 18-19th centuries. An incredible place to visit.
