Tickets for Outlander Tour with Doune Castle Entry

The chance to explore Midhope Castle, the medieval fortress used by King James I, the 15th century castle used in Outlander for the site of Lallybroch and Castle Leoch, for Clan Mackenzie.

You will leave Edinburgh at 08:45 and will travel to Blackness Castle which is used as Fort William in the show and then it’s on to Doune Castle, which also happens to be one of Scotland’s best preserved castles. The castle has not only appeared in Outlander but also Monty Python’s Holy Grail and Game of Thrones.

You will then travel to the Kingdom of Fife and stop at Culross which was used as the village of Cranesmuir and today is one of the best examples of 17th and 18th century burgh’s in Scotland.

After lunch you will go to the village of Falkland which was used for scenes of 1940’s Inverness and has 28 listed properties. Then its on to Midhope Castle (please note if filming is taking place , some days the castle can be closed).
